Technical Details
The game will be controlled using the W – A – S – D keys to move forward. The SPACE key will shoot the weapon equipped at the time. The Zombies themselves will be a mixture of Inactive, Patrol, and Random.
- Inactive – They sit around blocking routes and generally won’t respond to a player
- Patrol – Will move about the city and try to close the gap.
- Random – Will some times appear to Patrol or be Inactive, only to suddenly change and add an random element to the game.
Hopefully the above will allow the player to believe a little more that the city is infected by the undead. I’m also going to try and specify a spawn zone to surprise the player with random zombies appearing in close proximity depending on how complex it is and the time left to do the project. The game will end in one of two ways, the player will find the exit and escape. That Being the good ending or hopefully more likely a zombie will get his hands on them and eat their brains adding a little more to the ‘One more time’ game plan.
The player score will be a calculation of kills and if possible time taken, with the object of completion being the ultimate goal. However the object may be to survive the longest as it’s challenging for the player to get to the end and may take more than one sitting to do so every time.
The city will hopefully be a mixture of the decayed lived in look as featured in most Zombie films about the mid 80’s period. With some resemblance of life still in the city with lights, signs and the occasional survivor. Think lived in and dead but a glimmer of hope to the fact it isn’t over just yet.
